Concept Demo Onyxarro Concept Demo. Fictional brand, not a real client.
Notes from Onyxarro

About this concept demo.

A short note on what you are looking at, and why a fictional commercial litigation chambers exists on the Onyxarro site.

01 · What is a concept demo

A concept demo is a working website for a firm that does not exist.

Wakefield and Sterling is fictional. The brand, the partners, the matters, the press, the addresses, the phone numbers, and the photography placeholders on this site are all sample placeholders. No real firm, partner, court matter, regulator, or client is depicted at any point. Nothing on the site constitutes legal advice, an offer of legal services, or a real engagement.

Every page on this demo carries a sticky concept-demo bar, a hero badge, sample-placeholder asterisks on every figure or quote, a robots noindex meta tag, and a footer disclaimer block that names the demo for what it is.

02 · Why Onyxarro builds them

A concept lets a buyer judge the work, not the brief.

Most agency portfolios show finished sites for paying clients. That is useful, but it is also constrained: the agency has to honour a brand book, a CMS, a content team, and a deadline. A concept demo strips those constraints out and answers a different question: what would the very best version of a site for this kind of firm look like, if the agency had complete art direction and a full editorial pass?

The Tier 1 series exists so a partner at a working chambers can see editorial restraint, type pairing, photography direction, and a conversion architecture native to the niche, and decide for themselves whether Onyxarro belongs in their shortlist. It is meant to be useful, not impressive.

03 · What is real, what is placeholder

A short legend, so nothing on this site is mistaken for fact.

  • Fictional · the firm name, the partner names, the matter notes, the press citations, the office addresses, the phone numbers, the testimonials, and every figure or KPI on the page.
  • Placeholder · all photography. The hero portrait and every other illustrated panel on the demo are editorial SVG placeholders, intended to hold the layout until a real photography day is commissioned for a working firm.
  • Real · the design strategy, the typography stack, the section architecture, the editorial copy direction, and the technical build. These are the parts of the work that would carry through to a paid engagement.

04 · How to commission a real version

A working firm gets a different scope, and a different photograph.

If you are reading this from a real chambers and would like to discuss a build of your own, the path is short. The Onyxarro audit page is a free, no-pressure site review of your existing firm site. The audit is the first step, not a commitment.

A full Tier 1 build is typically priced in three phases (discovery and direction, design and build, launch and care) and includes a half-day editorial photography day with a photographer Onyxarro briefs to the firm. The photography day is line-itemed separately so it stays transparent.

A free site audit is the cleanest way to start a conversation, before a brief.
